The Mission
Matt Adams is constantly working to provide magic for missionaries in countries around the world. Matt has performed across the USA and in Ireland, Canada, Mexico, and Thailand.
This fall, Matt will be taking his family on a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic to help perform a few stage shows and present the gospel to the community with the help of local churches. Matt and his family will be staying with their missionary friends Gary and Tami Byrd. This will help reduce their overall expenses and also provide them with translators.
Matt travels without his family from time to time but feels it's very important to include his family as often as possible in the work of missions because the great commission was given to all Christians. It will increase the overall cost of the trip, but Matt believes the life experiences and the obvious focus on true priorities will be irreplacable for his children.
Needs for this trip are:
1) Prayer support - this is BY FAR the most important need. Please pray for the receptivity of the people, Matt's clarity in presenting the gospel, the interpreter's skills in translating the gospel effectively, and for Matt and his family's health and safety while traveling.
2) Financial support - we are estimating a total cost of about $3000. This will allow for Matt's round trip airfare to San Pedro de Macorís, food expenses, transportation costs involved with the magic show, and a small miscellaneous cost that always arises in trips of this nature. Should we be blessed with more than this amount, the excess will be put towards Matt's next short-term mission trip next year.

Matt and his family will be traveling to the DR late this summer for one week. They will be staying with their friends (and local area missionaries) the Byrds, to help save on costs. Matt will be performing shows as always and it's expected to be a great time of fellowship with the Byrds and their church family. Airfare is the most expensive part of this trip as Matt will need to purchase 4 tickets for the whole family. Matt believes it's important to involve the family when doing missions work - everyone can be a part!
